This is a great little concept and thumbs up to your little boy for his idea. Would love to see what other piece you have got. Your site is also great by the way. Well and truly an establish artist.

Strong Points:model is well made despite a complex mix of anatomy
exclamation
Weak Points:textures are good, but could do with more detail, shader doesn't work for me either
recommend
Recommendations:I think that the shader doesn't compliment your amazing sculpting work, seems to flatten it out. The textures I would up to 4k to really get some nice details in there! it deserves it I think.

Overall the design and model is great, though it might be worth looking at the textures again.

Love the concept and the overall approach to the design. I like it when artists show there sketches, you can see where the idea came from and what the thought process was when making the jump from 2D to 3D. The scale in the sketch comes across well but I think you could add that little guy onto the base on the 3D render would really show the size of the shark-rex creature.

All in all a great model and a wicked design.

Strong Points:The mix of the two creatures and you managed to combine the anatomy well.
recommend
Recommendations:Nothing really but I'd love to see this animated, would be a great character to work with.

Sweet ass concept, sweet ass work, nice one mate! :)

Strong Points:Awesome concept, kudos to your kid!
Love the jaw and the model's overall anatomy & arcs.
exclamation
Weak Points:None.

Recommendations:Would liked to see the fins a little higher up from the legs, I'd imagine the legs smacking against them when it would run.
Also try it with the tail a tiny bit longer to help counter balance the really heavy torso.

Strong Points:I really enjoy the silhouette of the character, also the clean forms, keeping it not overworked
recommend
Recommendations:I wouldn't considered it a weak point, but maybe the textures could use a bit more love, it's an amazing sculpt.

Great design and nice modeling,
Presentation could use a little more work,
I'd really like to see a beauty render of it,

Really like the overall stylized design of the creature
tick_blue
Strong Points:Design
Great 2d Concept images
Modeling
exclamation
Weak Points:Final presentation,
The 'grey on grey' presentation
masks the shilloutte a little too much
recommend
Recommendations:A beauty render much like the 1st 2d concept
would look great!

You have both awesome modeling and concepting skills!

The M-rex really appeals to me! Really love how you used the fins as forearms.

Cant wait to see the next cool creature your son cooks up ;)

Strong Points:modeling
concept
Cool son!
Facial expression
exclamation
Weak Points:Would love a slightly more roughed up texture on the big grey areas and more variation.
recommend
Recommendations:I would have liked to see some contrast between the legs (used for land) and the body (used for water). Adding more stress to the legs like veins and dried out foot soles.

I think this is great, along the lines of Sharktopus.
It be nice to get him in an environment.
One question though, should his toes not be webbed. :)
Great work, faved!
