AMATEUR or PRO - Which one are you? 1 Year, 3 Months ago
THIS INFORMATION IS ONLY FOR THE "CREATURES AND CRITTERS CHALLENGE". IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE "COMPUTER GRAPHICS STUDENT AWARDS".

Since we kicked this competition off there has been a little bit of confusion about which category people should register in for the competition.

We initially created the categories in order to give students a chance at entering a design, however a number of cases have been put forward with non-students who are obviously not professional either.

With this in mind we have removed the Student Category and replaced it with AMATEUR.

PROFESSIONAL
- Anyone who has been paid to create a 3D model. This includes any basic props, environments or character models. Pro includes anyone who has worked as a freelancer or at a production company/studio. At the end of the day, if you have been paid for any 3d modeling work, no matter how small, you are a pro.

AMATEUR - Anyone who would like to be a modeler or is training to become one. This category is also open to people who have been employed at a studio in a non-modeling role.

cheers
