Hey everybody! Im sure most of you know me by now but in case not my name is Gregory Strangis and this is my second creature entry. THIS CONCEPT IS FROM CHRIS LEGASPI
If you have not heard of him check out some of his wicked work on his site http://www.freshdesigner.com/about.htm I thank him again for letting me use his concept

Not much is know about this unknown God. Many stories tell of sacrifices being made to a massive creature. It is even said that an ancient civilization built a temple with a sacrificial alter to please the God but it has yet to be discovered. Tails from pirates and ship captains who say they've seen it destroy ships in seconds sometimes call it the legendary Kraken. All the seamen did mention one thing tho... that its mouth was a gateway to hell..

This time around I will not rush my creature as I did with my first entry. Much more time and care will be put into this creatures process and I also know the direction that I must take as I am following Chris's concept. Hope you guys will enjoy this one more then my first. Good luck to all!

Nice concept, always nice doing something that's fun like that.I was thinking something like that but desided to make it silly rather than horror... had to do a horror for 2nd entry cause its too tempting! Good luck with the comp! cant wait to see the 3d.

Well guys I decided I wanted to start with a quick block mesh in maya and explore the creature a bit and get a feel for the concept. Here is the result of the practice

PS I know the teeth right now would be too small to get printed and his bones are too thick on the face fins

Very cool idea indeed =P love the beak inside his mouth!

My only crit is regarding the "ears?". In the concept they are much thinner and skinlike, think they feel too bulky now =)

But none the less this entry rocks!
