Hi, my name is John Strieder and this is the character concept for my entry.

The Iquishies are a small folk living in symbioses with the tiny, little Gnobbles. As the Iquishies are unable to move and the Gnobbels are unable to walk long distances, they established a Symbiosis. The Gnobbels build and service machines that make the Iquishies able to walk and explore new living places and food sources.*

The Sketches are made by my friend Maike Kahle. I'll use this sketch as a start and change it here and there (obviously also to make it follow the printing guidelines - the robotic legs for example will become much more massive than in this sketch.)


I'll use C4D and ZBrush for my entry.

Here's the long version (makes some ponts clearer)

"The Iquishies are a small folk that crashed down on a planet far away from our own galaxy. Since the sun of that planet was blocked out mostly by a ring of meteorites, the planet's surface had always been very cold. The Iquishies responded to this new enviroment. Their body functions slowed down and they nearly stopped moving except for essential needs, such as ingestion. On the planet there are also the Gnobbels, a folk of tiny little creatures. Both, Iquishies and Gnobbels didn't noticed each other, until a fatal meteorite shower destroyed the ring around the planet that blocked out the sunlight. The surface started to heaten up and the food sources shrank immediatly.
Iquishies and Gnobbels needed to work together: Tthe Iquishies, unable to move and the Gnobbels, unable to walk long distances. The Gnobbels build with the technology of the Iquishies machines to make them able walk, climb and work again and exploring new living places and food sources instead of hopping and roling around. A perfect symbiosis growed."

Although I have a contract, I try as I can to complete this.
