My name is Idan Itzhakov and this is the character concept for my Creatures and Critters Competition entry. I am self taught but I've been doing 3d for around 3 years, I'm still a student and never worked in a studio although I'm hoping to in the future.

Hell hound Samael is an amazing creature designed by the very talented Jerad S. Marantz. Samael was once a human lost in his lust for power. His lust drove him insane killing all his loved ones, darkness has taken controll over his body. Then through torturous mutations and disfigurements he became this creature of hell, triggered by his lust for power and blood killing anything in its way.

Plan:
1)Base geo in max- Almost done...will post soon
2)Sculpt major forms in Zbrush
3)Back to max for retopo
4)On to Zbrush for final pass of sculpting and detail pass.

thanks, the concept was made by a very talented concept artist, Jerad S. Marantz all credit goes to him. I just hope I will bring it justice lol.

Alright here is the Base geo, I spent about 20 minutes on it, I decided that the best way to create this creature would be breaking it into pieces, body, limbs, and tail. first would be the body so here it is I should have the basic sculpt done by wedensday.

thanks for all the kind words and yes it really is fun to sculpt. I'm done with th initial fleshing out process no details just major muscles bones and fats done at this point. now onto max for retopologizing which should be done by friday (swamped with school work). C&C are welcomed as always.
