I'm going to do 3 variations of the character model each reflecting 3 elements of nature. This first image is an under water scene. I was hoping I could get some comments or crits on how the image looks.

Do elementals have belly buttons?

kingroaw-Thanks for stopping by. As for the belly button in this universe Elementals where once sorcerers who have been consumed by the elemental magics they once controlled. So having been born it's ok that they have belly buttons.

Also here is a test render of One I'm doing for ice.

I like your anatomy, but I am not really feeling the elements. While the hard edges are better for ice, it doesnt really say water to me. Maybe softer forms?
Keep at it and I hope you post more progress.

Codeman - You make a good point I didn't adapt the model to the water element I was hoping the pose and environment would sell the idea.

I would maybe make that transparency that you've got oging on for the midsection of the body and make it more solid as it goes towards the limbs... But very nice modeling indeed!

kingroaw - Thanks I've changed the limb material so the hands read better.

I also scrapped the outdoor landscape environment in favor of an ice cave. It was becoming apparent to me that I wouldn't be able to get a final image I'd be happy with from the out door landscape. I think this is pretty much the final image the last thing I think I'll do is disrupt the cave surface where the crystals are. Let me know your thoughts.
