Gonk is back!
I've decided to recreate my competition submission GONK. I like the idea of him so much that my intention is to redo him from scatch and build his whole environment, props, clothes, homely artifacts etc.
The original Gonk (done for the 'Creatures & Critters' competition) was technically all wrong and difficult to develop. I hope this time round to do things correctly and make him what he should be.
As I go, I'll put up the WIP.

This was the original backstory - may change a bit for Gonk II, but not much:
"Gonk is part of a race of creatures known as the 'Dark Dwellers'. They live in a sub'terrainian world here on Earth. Their average height is 9 inches and they are a peaceful race.
His family have had sole responsibility over the the security of their royal clan for generations. In his early years, Gonk was wrongly accused of a crime against the Royals. As a result he suffered the ultimate humiliation for a Dark Dweller - his main horn was severed at the base. This punishment has meant that in the years since the incident, he has only ever been given menial jobs.
A kind, sensitive creature - Gonk has suffered years of taunting and humiliating jibes from his so-called friends."
This is the first stage of the main sculpt.
