Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I'm using Z-Brush for the first time after being a long time Maya user. In Maya, if I were to move a model, I get 3 axis (X,Y,Z) and I can easily choose to transform on individual axis or all. It seems to me that when I try to move tools in ZBrush, it's always set to all, so right now I'm trying to move an eyeball into my character's eye socket but the eye keeps flaoting around behind him and I can't bring it forward on the Z-axis. So, is there a way to select which Axis I move a tool on? I've only been able to find this for rotation.
Another question if anyone cn help with, is there a way to subdivide only specific parts of a tool's geometry (ie not the whole thing)? I thought I watched it in the pixologic tutorial videos but now I can't find the video that had it, is there a special brush?
If anyone can help I would really appreciate it, I've spent 2 hour trying to do something I could have done in maya in 10 secs, but I want to learn ZBrush because it's amazing and I love it. Thank you.
