my name is Cory Cosper, this is my first time posting on this forum so hi! heres my first entry to this competition: not much to look at right now but im going to be goin for a more cute image in the end. right now its just a pig.. but i guarantee you have never seen a pig like this when hes done.

i dont really have much concept for this... more like just scribbles. i kinda like to do most of my idea flushing on paper but i prefer to let the model evolve as i scuplt. but ill post w/e i have.

So i wanted to to an animal pretending to b another. Pigs are a fun subject (something w/o fur...) to play around with so long story short no one wants to hang out with him because of swine flu =p. so he has to pretend to b something else to have friends. I picture him wearing some sort of mask/head piece as a disguise. im playing around with different ideas still, but i think ive settled on a rabbit. something easy to recognize and to mimic (the ears).but ive also thought about a rooster and putting a glove on his head... but well see. heres my planning sheet and a wire.

Read the guidelines. You have to introduce your concept, tell us the story of your creature and you have to show us a real WIP, not just something which comes from nowhere...
Sorry admins, I probably do more than I should...

Welcome to the site Cory! Great entry into the competition, and an amazing first pass at the model.

Gpepper is right though, you really need to follow the instructions carefully so that you qualify for judging and also to make it fair to the others. Absolutely no prior model can be used for the comp and the first post is really important so everyone knows what you're trying to do.

I didn't see the un-edited first post, but the current one is looking as expected. Looking forward to seeing more.

I came across your stuff a while ago and it's amazing. It's pretty easy to see you could get the pig looking this cool in a short amount of time.

thanks for your kind words heres some updates: i added the ears tied on by a handkerchief, im planning on the ears being made out of leaves, i kind of want it to b made of stuff u might find in a barnyard, realism right? lol. i also added a wheelbarrow for him to sit on, id like to have a rabbit or two on the ground looking up kinda like what the....? and some carrots around or something... suggestions are more than welcome.
