Hello to everyone out there in internet land!! My names Michael Bastiaens and im currently a student studying Game Development over in Auckland New Zealand.

The Rock Eater is a relatively slow creature since its only food source deep within caves is rocks which arent known for their ability to run away .... Because of its rather unusual diet, the rock eater has a giant lower jaw designed to crush rocks and boulders. Another side effect to eating rocks is the issue with digesting rocks. Because of the sheer length of time it takes for rocks to dissolve inside the rock eater it requires vast amounts of digestive acid withing it leading to its bloated appearance.

Welcome to the competition Michael! This is a really cool concept. Very original and has a huge amount of potential for a sculpture. Good luck!

Thanks to all the comments so far aye In any case id like to really get more work done on this guy but at the moment we are close to our beta deadline for our game we are making at our course but Ill probably get a start on a base mesh in Maya over the weekend...(All depends on how much we "celebrate" our beta hand in at the pub LOL)
So until sometime next week I did crank out a bit of a side profile image and some head orthos to aid in the modelling process.
