  • untitled Hey Damian, thanks for sharing your Demo Reel. This is our first Flikr Video and it looks like it's causing some issues to the page here. I'll get our developers to take a look. As for feedback, it's clear that you are talented and you have some great examples of your work. One thing that did throw me off was the speed of the playback. I wanted to view your artwork more, but the camera was just too quick. I didn't have the sound turned on, so it might playback nicely with this, but my preference would be be slow everything down. Also, on a number of images you reveal the key element of the image (eg head) but then quickly swap to a new image. Maybe reverse the track, start focused on the head, then slowly reveal the body... Anyway, great work... I can't fault your skills, I just think tweaking the edit will help sell you work better.
  • chopper1.f4v Looking good keep it up. Maybe slow the turntable down a fraction.

Mari demo part 1 of 3

Description

Jack Greasley, Mari Product Manager, and Bill Collis, CEO of The Foundry, talk to FX Guide's Mike Seymour and show of Mari. Mari is a brand new 3D texture painting tool from The Foundry. Originally developed at Weta Digital to handle the massively complex, highly detailed look development work demanded by Avatar, Mari was designed as a full 3D paint tool with a responsiveness and feature-set that puts even the best dedicated 2D paint systems to shame. Mari is extremely scalable, coping easily with an obsessive level of detail literally tens of thousands of textures quickly and elegantly. How does Mari differ from competitors on the market? See for yourself.
