on Wed, 14 Dec 2011in Next-Gen Games This Activision spot for the VGA, directed by Neil Huxley, took 8 weeks to finish. 6 weeks for compositing initially starting with a team of 2, until getting some much needed backup with 3 more people during the last two weeks.
Impressive considering the timeframe and number of people working on it!

Story: Fubar is an epic story of an on-going political war told in an alternate reality with cat and dogs.
Two factions who have been at war with each other for centuries finally come to an agreement for a form of peace, but there are certain higher political powers which would do anything to prevent this historic event from happening.

on Tue, 30 Aug 2011in Behind the Scenes Shane Acker's Plus Minus, is about the inferno of territorial fighting between demonic forces of art and commerce, it will be released in the fall for Oscar consideration. It’s co-directed by Aristomenis (Meni) Tsirbas, best known for his work on the award-winning animated films The Freak and Battle for Terra (which was adapted into a feature like Acker’s Oscar-nominated 9 short from UCLA).

This is a very good read for all aspiring VFX artists, it goes into detail about what you should and shouldn't be focusing on while studying.
