on Fri, 02 Dec 2011in Animation Sticky Monster Lab is a Creative Studio in Korea, founded in 2007 has created a great short called The Loner.
It’s the simple tale of isolation, and at the same time, unconditional devotion. As with all productions from SML, the short film is devoid of dialogue, and retains the stark but powerful manipulation of simple imagery and movement, a trait that the founders of SML work in to all their productions.

on Fri, 04 Nov 2011in Animation 'The Last Train' is an animated short movie that was made as part of The Animation Hub, a collaboration between staff and students of the Irish School of Animation (ISA) at Ballyfermot College of Further Education (BCFE), staff and students of Trinity College’s Graphics, Vision and Visualisation Group (GV2) and the recently established animation studio Giant Creative (giant.ie), set up by BCFE graduates.
The Animation Hub, which received support from the Irish Film Board and Science Foundation Ireland, ran for 3 months over the summer in 2011 and involved Giant Creative working with animation and computer science students to create a one minute animated short fusing motion capture techniques with naturalistic 3D character animation.

The moral behind this story revolves around how there are often disagreements or competing paths in life, and the possible results of pride, obstinance, and compromise.

on Fri, 08 Jul 2011in Animation Megalomania perceives the city in total construction. The built environment is explored as a labyrinth of architecture that is either unfinished, incomplete or broken. Megalomania is a response to the state of infrastructure and capital, evolving the appearance of progress into the sublime.
Constructed predominantly using 3d Studio Max and rendered with Vray. Organic movement sequences were originally filmed on a Canon 5D mkII, tracked in PF Track and developed in CG. Demolition created using Rayfire. All compositing done in Adobe After Effects, edited in Adobe Premiere Pro. Audio recorded and coordinated using Adobe Audition.
